Wanting to know what is best size wire to run directly to battery for small amp in motorhome ? Would 20amp fuse be enough ? Any ideas where wire can be purchased already made up with ends for attaching to battery ? Any help would be appreciated.

I use 10 gauge straight to the battery @ 8' length with a 50 amp protection fuse at the battery with my kl503. Some will say 8 gauge but I've never had any issues with 10.

Get some good #4awg from a stereo shop and a good distribution block. The size amp fuse used is dependent on the amp draw that will be used, Some will say #4awg is over kill. But I would rather play it safe and have the larger wire. JMO. Make sure to use good terminal connectors as well and no-ox all connections as well. And also the ground should be the same size as the power and should be made as short as possible and go to a good ground point like a seat bolt. Again JMO. God bless and good luck.

All kidding aside, the guys can help you out if you tell them a few more things about what you are trying to do and what you have to work with.

You had to go and ruin it with a bit of common sense reasoning didn't you Jeff. ;)

Seriously though we would like to help but without more info it's like asking how to instal a radio in a red car.
