i just traded a 2950 DX for a 200 GTLDX board PFM-0090A-BF and the radio works fine on LSB and USB, but TX only on high, no low power at all no AM or FM on any mode, is there some kind of modifiction to fix this? the reason why im asking is because i took the radio to a local CB shop, i explained the problem and after a week i got the radio back and it was still doing the same thing but was transmitting only on AM on only high power so i took it back and asked him to return it to its previous state, so does anyone know anything about this issue?

DTB is about the only person i can think of that didnt have customers complaining about their 200's . id call and ask him about it .
Freecell could fix it too .

BTW.......i gotta ask...........why in the world would you trade a 2950 for a cobra 200 ?

The hard truth.......

Whats wrong with the radio? They were junk from the word go,hell Cobra will not even work on em anymore!
Who ever tried to tune it screwed it up because they did not have a clue how to tune this type of radio and it could cost you a small fortune to get it right..depending on how bad he @#$%$# it up while trying to get that last watt out of it.

It is well known that 8 out of 10 of these radios never worked right from the start and very few ever work right even with a good tech doing the tune. That's why they are no longer built, these things are complete junk!!!!

The guy you got it off of knew it was screwed up and suckered ( let me guess, told you how much power it would do and you were hooked right? ) you into giving him.....one of the best radios you can buy these days without steeping up to a full blown ham radio.....for one of the biggest pieces of crap ever made by any manufacturer, ever!

Junk it, learn a hard lesson and move on.

Mr. King Mudduck i know this radio has a bad reputation but when they work, they work fine

now lets concentrate on this problem. i know there is a modification for this problem, another member from another forum has it but he doesn't want to share, so for now i will keep googling until i find it and share with you guys
