In that condition (price aside), it really doesn't matter if the radio works. I just thought it was odd that the needles didn't move after being handled and plugged in. If that were a regularly occuring problem due to static, I think I would have noticed it by now in some of my own radios. Just thought it was worth pointing out, not making any accusations.
