Hello, I am not a radio expert so I need help from you folks please.
I recently acquired a set up that has a motorola GM300 and a m120 with a repeater and a Samlex sec1212 with a Sinclair MR356 all set inside a Pelican waterproof case (briefcase size). My question is: what the heck is it for?
I think I want to put it on EBay or Craigslist but don't know for sure, I have and use CB radios so its it something I can use in my truck.
Thanks

Can you post pictures? It sounds like what you have is a portable repeater setup. The Motorola radios are commercial business band radios and no longer made. They were probably reprogrammed for ham radio frequencies. The Sinclair MR356 is a UHF cavity filter which allows two radios to operate into one antenna and essentially isolates one from the other. Was there anything else in the case like connecting wire harnesses or anything? In a setup like this the two radios would have to be connected together in some way.All that would be required to put it on the air as a repeater would be a controller and antenna.
