Movie mistakes with radio

Saw "Twisters" yesterday with XYL. Some things just destroy the suspension of disbelief. The one that got me in the first few minutes of the film being that none of the radios had RF cables attached. Operating on channel 9 was another, but then no one would hear with no antenna connection.

Last one I'll mention was the VHF HT's seamlessly talking to the CB's.

Just wondering if anyone had any other big radio related mistakes that stick out to them in movies over the years.

I saw a Magnum P I episode where a mic "seemed" to be coming out of a radio shack scanner, and Magnum was transmitting for help off this setup. Then, Rob Lowe on 911 Lone Star was receiving, yes receiving, signals from his EF Johnson Ranger transmitter there in his living room. And I think there were 2 episodes of Fire County where the captain was talking on her CB walkie WITH the antenna collapsed AND talking to others on either VHF or UHF portables. The network has already blocked my cell number for I keep calling about these mistakes.

Die Hard with a Vengeance

John McClane needs an ambulance escort so he switches CB over to channel 9 and with out keying the radio, immediately a 911 dispatcher answers…

Right! Never happened even back in the day!

The movie Frequency.

The Ham radio that was used as a transceiver was only a receiver, a Heathkit SB301.
They routed the mic cord to the back of the radio to hide that it wasn't a transceiver. The fact that there wasn't a PA section inside the radio when it was damaged was a MASSIVE clue if you had any idea what you were looking at.
