Converted my 2nd gen useing the capacitor/coil to the stub cable version.
This corrects high swr on omni or all dircetional.
If you run more than 50 watts on this model it will fry the omni circuit(2nd gen)
I cut off 9 foot 1 inch of rg-8.Soldered to board parallel to old circuit.Use
center conductor of rg-8 to relay side and shield to gnd side.
Then you short the other end and let it hang parallel to vertical mast.
Checked swr and it was a 3.Got me a sheet metal screw and ran it through
rg-8 basically shorting it.Moving up in 1/4 inch increments.Ended up at 8 foot 10 inches exactly.
Took several tries but got it to 1.04<can not stand it>
Started with 50 watts and moved up to 1200pep.
Works great!!!!!!
