I built this from standard shelving planks found at Menards. The picture doesn't show it, but continuing to the right is my flat screen TV, which goes about another 6 feet. Nothing on the market that quite fit my needs, or was ridiculously expensive, so I toiled at this instead. I am not a fan of stacking equipment, so this is an ongoing project. I am going to buy more of the same planks and built isolated compartments for my equipment, slowly!

I saw your Maco v58, the Hustler B5TV, and the hexbeam. I didn't see your 80m caged dipole.
Did you have it up when the photos were taken for QRZ?

Hi Homer

it is really difficult to see my caged dipole. I used black wire, and I created the spreaders out of 4 inch sewer pipe and painted them black to blend in. it is actually attached to the big tower that is in my pictures on my page. (The 60 foot Maco tower) But if you’re having difficulty seeing it, that’s actually a good thing because that’s what I wanted hi hi

I figured so.
I looked again. I see the outrigger on the tower, and something traveling from it behind the big oak(?) Tree on the right.

I will say that the caged dipole worked out extremely well, better than I had anticipated. It’s not Perfectly flat all the way across the entire band, but it is low enough that I do not have to use a tuner anywhere on 80. It is in stark contrast to the Hustler portion of the 80 m where I only had a very small slice of bandwidth, and most everybody cannot even hear me.

if I had to do it all over again, and this is just for anybody else reading that may be curious, I would have bought instead the hustler 4BTV and saved myself a few bucks. A roll of THHN wire, A small chunk of sewer pipe and some black spray paint made me the breakfast of champions on 80 lol
