I have spent a small fortune on radios and all the related parts and pieces that goes with it. I neglected my old car, so before it turned into a pile of rust I decided to get my old Chevy going again.
I already have spent a good amount on it before, then things got rough money wise and buying a townhouse, had the old car on the backburner.
I have owned this 1964 Chevy II for about 8 years or so. It has been sitting around for about 5 years and not running for the last 3 or so. There are some older pictures of it on my profile and I did have a picture for my avatar for a long time.
I finally put some money in it again. I had a friend of mine do all the work on it. I am not a gear head or very mechanical inclined.
It has a new double pumper carb, new fuel tank, new ignition system, new billet distbutor, new fuel lines and few other parts. It is a 355 according to the previous owner.
I was going to go with Torqu Thrust 2 wheels but the rear wheels didn't fit properly. I like the look of these Cragars.
The rear are 15x7 with 235 60 15. On the front the wheels are 15x6 with 205 60 15 tires. I like the old school look of the Cragars with the BF Goodrich radial TAs. To me these wheels look better then the Torque thrust. They just cost a lot more.
It is still a work in progress. It needs an alignment, new seals around the doors, etc. etc etc.
There are some spot in the paint that need to be sanded down and primered.
I still need to give the car a good wash and wax and the chrome needs attention as well. It had been sitting under a covered shed for all this time.
This is a poor man's muscle car.
She is far from perfect, but she's all mine.
