So far i find this radio a blast to operate!
I have owned the Kenwood TM-D710A and in comparison the Yaesu FTM-350AR has more options, easy to operate, Beautiful screen color choices, built in Barometer & Altimeter ( i will order the FGPS-1) so the altimeter will work. Programming it was by far the easiest to do without the use of a computer or cable. it has AM radio receive and FM radio both sound wonderful. i tried the stereo speakers built into the face unit and found them to be good sounding, but for me i disabled them and use an external speaker because it is in a mobile install. one bad thing the suction cup mount is a pile of junk i went and bought a plastic disk to mount on the dash and even with that the suction would not stick. so its on to the drawing board to fab a mount. the time being i am using velcro which works just fine.
here is a photo of the install:

i have a question about the rig. i would like to make just the left side the whole screen. i am not sure which button to press or hold to get that set. if thats possible?

all you have to do is hold down the fwd or bck button for a few seconds

Ty issue was resolved by a member through email forgot to post what to press. So far radio is doing what it is supposed to do....with minor drawbacks.
