Need feedback - swapshop categories & ebay listings section?

The ebay listings section doesn't get used all that much. I was thinking we should just combine it back with the regular swapshop. People would just post their listings in the regular swapshop that way. Feedback?

Also, does anyone feel that it would be useful if the swapshop was organized into subsections - i.e: radios, amps, antennas, parts, mics, etc.? It might help people find what they're looking for a little easier.

I like it the way it is. If you catagorize it, people will not look at every item, only what they think they want in one catagory. As it is, a person has to scroll all listings and might see something they didnt know they needed. You will give up a lot of coverage.

Only change I can suggest is to lengthen the time the swap items are good. Right now it's Two Pages then the items fall off. If they don't sell the member has to relist. I've seen many items hang around unsold and get relisted. It's a pain if the ad is long with lots of details and pics included...that all has to be redone. Then sometimes there are continuing-sale items like these LEDS I have. It's not just a one-time piece sale.

Multiple categories would be nice if they got much more traffic, but right now I don't really see it being needed.

each page its own subsection. Listing would stay on longer and you could go right to what your looking for. Not everyone has the extra funds to just see something and buy it without saving for it. So subsections gets my vote.

Just so people are aware, the listing time was set for two weeks but we disabled that last week. So now the listings just stay. If people only want to see a few weeks, they can still filter the length using the display options in the section.

Either dump the ebay or just add it to the swap shop and leave it as is.

It really depends how much additional work you and you moderators want. I think it is fine the way it is and ebay added to it is fine too...
