Hi all, I have a Dragon SS-497 (+) and it is similar to several other radios but not exactly (INTEK Multicom-497, Dragon SS-497, Roadforce 497, Pro Star 497, , Comanche Warrior, Eagle Tomahawk, Northpoint and Cherokee CBS 1000), I am trying to set the STEP to LESS then the default 10khz step. Pressing the STEP button will let you change the step but only temporarily, I am trying to change the step so it may go in 1khz jumps for example. I have looked at the Eagle Tomawak manual which is a Very similar radio but it does not have a STEP button. Anyone have this info or a manual of one of the radios that has a STEP button and it shows how to program it? Thanks, Adam

What do you mean by programming the step button?.
What do you want it to do?
What does it currently do?
Works exactly the came as the step on the delta force or magnum257 or it should do.
Should be able to hit set and set to 1khz and hit set again, and it should remain in 1khz steps then until you take it back to a different step. That is is this is what you are speaking of and how I think they work. Haven't used any of my radios that have the step feature like the one described, but I would think it's similar in nature. I could be wrong though.
