I need a processor board for a galaxy 2527. I have on in mint shape but it has the dreaded dead proc. Does anyone have one. I have the cash in hand!!!!

I have 2 of those 2527 there great radios if a guy leaves his hands out of them after a good allignment theres nothing else they need. I actually talked myself into selling one of them or posting it and nobody bought it so there it sits in the box I figured whatever its excellent. I had it posted for $350.00 shipped and insured.

I put it back in the closet and about a weeek ago a guy stopped to pick up some things i ordered for him and he brought a buddy with him I guesss he wants the radio now so we will see. I use a 2527 everyday for talking with the locals and Ive had that radio since the mid 1990's not one single problem ever not even a lightbulb.

The one I had posted was like new and better than the one I uses from day to day!! I have not heard of the problem your having the only problems I was aware of was when people cranked them up to get every last watt you know the last few watts nobody is even going to hear and they smoked the power suppliy. Ill look and see if anyone out here has a cassis or junk radio sitting on a parts pile .

Good luck on the hunt or search as I said these are really nice radios if treated good and golden screwdriver basement techs stayed out of them. Ill look out here for you as I said some of these guys have alot of parts radios and Im thinking you may beable to find what you neeed in a certain model 2950 or 2970 aswell if part numbers match. There are so many models of these chassis.

Hey Tony.
I Yeah, I love these rigs as well. The 2950/70 boards wont work because the 2527 board integrates 3 boards into one where as the 2950 has a layer of three boards. Im sure I could take the time and make it work but I wanted the original part. I called Ray and unfortuneately he doesnt play with radios anymore. Hes on to bigger and better things, But he gave me a few contacts and I was able to source a brand new one for $75, A bit hi, but I think its worth it when you look at the fact mine is in MINT shape! So Im just waiting for the part to arrive and put her back together and alighn it again while its open.

$350 is a steal for these radios!!! Im surprised no one jumped on it!
