The pic is of the newer radial base. I took this while I was making it. It is made of 14 gauge solid copper formed into a 4" diameter circle. I used 22 gauge solid copper, wrapped and twisted to make the tags, and connected the radials to the tags. The radials are 16 gauge stranded, 108" each, and every thing is soldered. The actual connections from radials to mount are copper shielding. I really liked this when I got done making it and forgot how much I enjoy soldering.
