S6 to S7 noise level all day during daylight hours ever since my neighbor installed solar panels. He lives about 700 feet from me. As soon as it gets dark, the noise is gone. Neighbor had Power Home Solar to install the solar panels.

Currently using a Max 2000 antenna, and had no noise problems before the solar panels came online. Not sure what I can do on my end to at least cut down some noise. Thought about buying a metal ground plane antenna or flat/vertical antenna. Not sure if a different antenna will help or not. Need some advice please!

I'll be watching this as well. I'm in an hoa in southern Arizona......or solar heaven. Couple companies rolled through a few years ago and conned people into the rent to own units.
Same here. S7 all day long.
Running an a99 switching to a hygain this weekend....

Solar inverter or (and) power optimizer(s) need to be replaced. One of those is producing noise.
Worst case are PLC driven power optimizers.
There can be grounding issues, but most probably first 2 are main source of EMI.
There are 3 ways:
1. Force to replace solar infrastructure for noise free.
2. Get used to it.
3. Move to quiet place.

I have the same problem going on at my weekend QTH up in the mountains neighbor installed new state of the art solar system and leaves the inverter on all the time and it's dirty as all get out so we are both in the same boat if you find a solution let me know as well the neighbor two doors over when she is up runs an inverter style generator with much the same affect.
Glad you brought the topic up .

Thanks for the advice on the MFJ 1026. Watched some videos on it.

Also looked at some video reviews of WiMo QRM Eliminator 26000. Was watching a video on it, and somebody did say it got rid of solar panel noise.

Just trying to figure out what kind of auxiliary/noise antenna to hook up. The WiMo instructions did say a 2 meter antenna could be used, or just wire.

I have lots of noise problems too, where I live. Look into a mfj 1026, they actually work, I own and use one everyday.

The only good way to get rid of the noise is to move faraway from other people. My plan someday is to live on a dirt road where my closest neighbors will be like a mile away. My dream is to live some where, that I can’t even see another house.
The only other way, with out moving, is to go talk to the neighbor about fixing it, putting emi filters ferrite beads etc. on there wiring.
If you have your ham ticket, you might could tell them stuff like you can’t cause interfere to a licensed radio service.

If you go vertical on the antenna the noise will only get worse. Most rf generated noise is vertically polarized from what i have read.

Please update what you choose and the results you get. Am contemplating the 1026 or equivalent myself. Hope you find something that helps. Cloud seeding maybe?
