Armed with a $50.00 gift certificate my mother in law gave me at Christmas, I ventured into a local Marine Supply store that just re-opened it's doors after being close for January and February. Found a nice compact Uniden VHF Marine radio that was a left over from last season. They had it listed for $125.00, and let me have it for $100.00, so it only cost me $50.00 out of pocket.
Now I can take the VHF Marine frequencies out of the IC-2200H so when I run a memory scan it won't get held up on the marine channels. It also gives me the option of scanning the marine channels separately from the amateur repeaters and simplex frequencies I monitor.

And it fits kinda nice between the Icom and the Samlex power supply......

SCABBY JOE:eek::blink::w00t:
ya REALLY need to paint the wall:LOL:

sometimes the marine operator is a lot of fun to listen to

Before painting that wall, write down all them notes so you can put them back after the new paint dries. Never know when you might need one of'em.

If you saw this guy, you'd understand why he's called that.....:eek:

I have more fun listening to the Coasties, like the other night when Station Atlantic City was out on a training run, and the capt radioed back to the station to ask permission to cut the mission short, when asked for a reason, he tried his hardest to come up with an official sounding way to say his crew was over the rail chumming the water, and not laugh in the radio at the same time.....

Doc...most of the notes and phone numbers are old and useless, and I would paint the walls if I had a place to store all the junk in there so I could. I'd love to gut the place, re-wire it, install proper HVAC, epoxy coat the floor, upgrade the insulation, and a few other improvements......

Getting a pretty nice collection of equipment going there...

Thanks Mole, it's coming along, I think I'm out of room now, but there's two more items missing from the photo, my code key which arrived this afternoon, and I'm bidding on one of those MFJ code readers, I'd like to have it in place to help me get started, it'll provide me with a backup when I miss a word or character when copying.....
