Hi,
I'm new so please direct me to the right thread if this isn't the one.

I found this site when I googled morse decoding.

20 years ago - today - I received this note from someone:
EC711028-E9B8-4719-8E67-0914F42CAE33-7636-0000066328D5D448_zpseb26eebe.jpg

The Swedish part of the massage is: "the Cut". There is a truth in "the Cut". his is my real name (the "code") Kiss, Kiss

I tried to solve this 20 years ago, but since I didn't know where the letters were separated I got stuck. I have thought about this note every february but never figured out who sent it. When I found it again a few weeks ago I tried to find a program or something to help me solve it, but I found this site. I hope you can help me - it's driving me crazy.
Please do tell me if you need more information.

(Maybe I should tell you that I am happily married, my happiness does not in any way depend on solving this. I just want to know.)

let me get my joke out for the day, then i will try and decipher it, but it is going to be difficult...

my joke is it is from Charles Manson! ha ha

There really are almost endless combinations in that run on mess and if it's it's in a foreign language it's even harder. "Puss Puss" has had 20 years to decode it and had no luck...lol

yes, there are too many possibilities and i just got an arm full of work here, so i may not get back to it for a while.

best of luck mactilda, and all trying to decipher.

Good luck!
I seriously doubt if there's any way to 'decode' that, other than to ask the sender what it says. After 20 years, I would think that if you could even find the sender, he/she would be happy to tell you what it says.

Thank you all for trying to help. It is kind of frustrating isn't it. I've uploaded the note on Facebook to see if anyone from my past know who has sent it. So far no other luck than the fact that I can rule out two of the names on my list of possible suitors.

I have to agree that it is virtually impossible to decipher without knowing at least where the word breaks are. Knowing where the letter breaks are would make it a snap to decipher. Sounds like a job for the cryptographic services of the NSA.

I have not yet decided if I am to take this challenge seriously yet.
But what seems obvious to me about this is: There are no numerical characters involved and it appears to me that it is first name complete with an initial 't' for the middle name and then of course the last name.
Just curious if others might agree with me upon these two points?

With no separations between 'characters' numerals could be present all though the thing. There's just no way of deciphering it without some 'clue' as to what it could possibly be saying. Add a different language to it and that 'no way' turns to impossible.
Oh well...

How many people do you know with 'numbers' in their name?!?!
There are clues!
A different language; It's morse code!?!?
They have three additional characters in their alphabet for a total of 29.

Not everything is impossible unless you give up
