i was wondering if there was any kind of instructions on how to peak and tune the radio. i am not getting the max talk distance out of my radio. I have had the radio sitting in the box and got it out and put it in my Nissan Xterra

i have a buddy in the fire department that is a cb and radio junky. he has nothing but differnt radios in his lab/office. He has never did anything with a 148 gtl that is why i was asking. it is the new model with the front mic.

do you know of any good and reliable cb shops in the houston area?

cfvfd12, I don't know of any good and reliable cb shops in the Houston area. That doesn't mean there aren't any however.

What kind of antenna are you using?

We used to go to Jerry's over on NE side, but he moved, I think to Schulenburg. Which is a bit of a drive. Not sure if there is a decent CB Shop in H-Town anymore. I see your Cy-Fair, so not far from me maybe I could help you, PM me.

"Marconi" I am using a 4 foot fiberglass antenna on a mag mount. it is mounted in the middle of the roof bye the back hatch.

"443" i sent you a PM maybe i can meet up with you and get some help. i got a guy in the fire department that can do it but the chances of him having time to tune and peak a radio is slim to none.
