Base New Imax wont tune 11m....this sucks

Today is 9/19/2022 and i just got off the phone with RoadPro talking to them about the Imax2000 not working well on 11 meters and if i could buy the"optimizer" piece, And the lady did look to see if its available to sell. She is well aware of the problem out here with the antennas and was aware that they had talked about having it for sale by itself. She could not find it for sale at this time, However she did promise to bring it up at there meeting on the 21 of this month.
I asked for her name and wrote it down and told her i would call back after to find out if there is any news after that meeting. I will post a follow up after i call her back. I do not expect much to happen but you never know.
Just maybe, a very small maybe that someone might actually care. This day in age, not many actually care. They work for their company and do what is good enough to make a paycheck. We're in the times of excellence not being a goal and good enough being just good enough....

But on rare occasion someone might care.

No I haven't seen that, thanks for posting it.

Back in 2016 I modeled this antenna with the capacitor, unfortunately those models were lost. I recently found some of the models working with this concept and posted them here. I want to do more testing but with my work schedule lately and the foreseeable future I just haven't had time.

The DB

Edit, added in. I am aware of mentions on this forum of said capacitor that dates back at least to 2010, and even further. However, on media outside of this site, your video link is the first I've ever seen that has even mentioned this capacitor's existence. This capacitors is brought up so rarely that I'm sure a vast majority of people, including most of those who think they know a lot about antennas, have no idea that it is even there, much less the implications of said capacitor being where it is on this antenna.
I purchased the Antron 99 , it's only 18 feet in length I have a one to one flat match, and I have been talking skip all over the country with my sweet 16 I would recommend that over the problematic iMax 16,

Would you be so kind as to provide section measurements?
From the antenna base, not to include the aluminum mounting plate. I cannot bring myself to include this portion as a radiating section. Add this lame portion separately?

I've a possible readily available solution to the "short" dilemma. Would be happy to share.

They are manufacturing one (replacement) extension for the optimizer and one extension for the "short" IMAX 2000?
That was my understanding, I explained that there were many posts online with SWR problems with the IMAX2000 version and the person i talked to was aware of the problem(s) that many people are having. I am ASSUMING that they are talking about a different part then the Optimizer as there is not a way to add a piece on top of the IMAX2000?

You know whats crazy when i clicked on the link and went to Amazon that "Wilson" adapter is made by RoadPro the same company that IMax2000 is made by???????
Can you provide a link to RoadPro Manufacturing website? Other than RoadPro Tires.
Pro Trucker sells the same for + $4, same "bat" channel.
18 and 22"ers also available. I'm not sure lengths are with or without thread length. I've got a couple 10" ers around here somewhere.
I once used them to stick my Firestiks > 1/2 height above top of Truck cab; which is not absolutely necessary, as glass is not a reflector.

Unless it's a mirror...

Is this what your looking for?

No JT. I saw that previously as basis for the argument
My point exactly, Beetle! RoadPro doesn't manufacture diddly squat (shite) unless it's tires. RoadPro Tires [1] and RoadPro Family of Brands [2], are two different entities, and two beings.
RoadPro[2] makes Imax 2000, BS! They are a Dollar General for Truckers. A Walmart at best. There is a similarity in their logo, truck tire manufacturer or general store "reseller" outlet; two entities! I'll bet $1 to a dog nasty pops owns the Tire Manufacturing and Jr. sells trucker shite; excluding RoadPro Tires. Riding on the "name recognition" perhaps.

Nowhere on their RoadPro Family of Products list is Imax 2000; and, Shirley they'd take credit and call it RoadPro 2000.

I surrender! The 2nd historical truly 0.64 wavelength, 11M Imax 2000, antenna fallen to money grabbing shippers for 1/4 inch length "oversized" cost price gouging. Very sad, I am. I hope the PTB forever gag on their profits, 58cj3h47c03mch3cho3o.

IMHO, every law based on "precedence" must be evaluated for its Constitutional worthiness. The 14th Amendment gives personhood to corporations; what in God name is the basis for that! The 13th Amendment sanctified by a legal majority, never happened!
RoadPro makes Imax 2000 antennas, total BS.

RoadPro now owns
Astatic microphones,
Francis Antennas,
K-40 antennas and accessories,
Solacon,
TruckSpec, and a couple other products.
If you dig around here long enough there was a member that had contact with the guy that designed the original I-max and questioned him about cutting it down, his response was " Then they ruined the antenna"
The original Solarcon no longer builds antennas
The Original K-40 no longer builds antennas and so on.

They are built for RoadPro by there manufacturers.
They are not retailers of these products, they bought them and in many cases reduced the quality in cost cutting measures.
Francis Antennas at one time were top of the line products, you can go find the Patents from Francis when they developed the " Triple Quarter Wave" antennas then, Barjan LLC bought Francis.
Barjen = RoadPro.
The 1/4 wave fiberglass whips went away about this time due to shipping cost.
And they never could properly duplicate the manufacturing process
and they have not been the same since.
Next.
Astatic.
In 1930 2 hams, W8WR and W8AHW started playing with microphones for there ham radios.
Then they got together with Charles Semple, who had been experimenting with Rochelle
Salt Crystals.
They founded The Astatic Microphone Laboratory, Inc. in Youngstown in 1933.
They manufactured and marketed the company's model D-104 Crystal Microphone as well as other crystal microphones and products.
The commercial audio product division of Astatic became CAD Professional Microphones brand in 1988.
in 2000, CAD, Astatic and Omnitronics combined.
In 2012, the Citizens Band (CB) product division of Astatic that had been acquired from Omnitronics by Barjan LLC.
Barjan = RoadPro
In 2006 it was all sold to DAS Companies, DAS is the owner of Road Pro, a communications product distributor for interstate truck stops. DAS expanded the Astatic name to non-microphone accessories including coaxial cables, meters and antennas.
DAS = RoadPro.
This is when the Mic switches went to crap.
I can keep going but there is a common theme here, RoadPro bought product lines and shortly after there were cost cutting measures and in my opinion quality declined.
