New NMO base load 1/4 wave

I ordered a new NMO 1/4 wave base load antenna, KL-11-N by Workman from SuperLid. I have been running if for 4 days now so far very impressed, it is replacing a Browning BR140. Both antenna are shut feed the Kl-11-N doesn't use a cap in the shut its rated for 1000w. So far I noticed less static in the KL-11-N especially around powerlines. The SWR readings are very flat as well I tuned it to 11 meter band using a SAA-2N nano VNA. Channel 1 and 40 tuned to 1.234:1 and middle of the band 27.185 was 1.114:1. I have been making contact with a base radio consistently a little over 30 miles away. This is paired with a anytone AT-6666 PRO, I achieved this with the BR140 as well but my reports back with KL-11-N are much more favorable. Distant and weak signals seem to be more audible due to the lower noise floor. The antenna stands a total of 59" off the roof and the whip is a total of 56". So far I am very pleased with it, I may purchase the UHF version in the future to compare with my Sirio P2000.

It is not 5/8 wave. It is a loaded shunt fed 1/4 wave, rated at 1000W. The model is KL-11-N (NMO), KL-11-U (UHF).

No mobile cb antenna is more than a 1/4 wave. Those who say they sell 5/8 wave cb mobile are lying.
