Thanks for the suggestions guys. I looked into the RCI-2970. That thing is expensive. Is it a cb?

I went to Radio Shack today, and they did in fact have a 102 whip in the back. I scored that, a spring base for it and a cable hook up for about $50. Im gonna wait on buying coax cable until i figure out the specific length i need. Although i guess it wouldnt hurt to get a longer cord so if i needed to take the antenna of and put it in a tree for better reception i can (am i just fantasizing about something that is ill-logical?)

For a SWR meter, would this one work? It seems to fit my budget.

For some more kicks, here is a pic of my baja with the antenna on it. It stands a total of about 13ft.!!!
