JUST JOINED AND WANTED TO SAY HI. IN THE PROCESS OF SETTING UP MY SHACK IN MY NEW HOME AND WILL PROBABLY HAVE SOME STUPID QUESTIONS IN THE FUTURE. I AM A 74 YEAR OLD RETIRED AIRCRAFT MECHANIC AND AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR WITH A GENERAL TICKET AND THAT PROBABLY MAKES ME DANGEROUS. MY MAIN RIGS ARE A YAESU 857D AND YAESU FT 7900 GOING THRU A LDG-YT100 TUNER INTO A CHAMELEON EMCOMM II SLOPE ANTENNA. I ALSO HAVE OTHER RADIOS BUT THESE ARE MY MAIN TOYS. I'VE HAD MY TICKET FOR A FEW YEARS, BUT NOW I HAVE THE TIME TO DEVOTE TO THIS HOBBY AND LOOK FORWARD TO MANY HOURS OF ENJOYMENT.
