Newbie with questions

I just purchased a yaesu Fl 110 amp and i need help in trying to hook up to my Browing LTD mobile w/extra channels. I need to kinow if i need a special hook or is it me finding the correct 13.8 plus and neg on the amp? and the receive and transmit relay should be rf sensitive and not need to do a physical hook up to control send and recieve relay? please give me your advice and the manual and amp should be here by tuesday. Have read that it is a overdesigned amp and its met the grandfather clause to use on 11 meters since it was made in 1977 .

No amp is legal on 11 meters. Don't matter when it was made.That unit was intended to be used with the FT7 transceiver.

Thats what i get for trying to impress someone and it bit me in the butt but thanks for the info and will not repeat again and quit quoteing from the many bits of info from the al gore net. Any who i thought they had made yaesu quit manufactureing that one amp was due it being able to use on 11 meters . I hope that i can figure it out whhen i recieve it this week before i blow the smoke out of the IC's for some reason thie IC's will not work without that very inportant smoke

thanks and do you know the name or model for this remote connector? is it a connector that ties into the 6 pin type connector on the right rear of amp? I guess the plusand neg dc volts tie in thru here and one of the other pins will allow the transmitt and receive relay? again Gentlemen thanks for all the info you can give me so i can at leat hoook it up

You might be able to find a manual online somewhere by doing a search on the model number. I haven't used an amp, its usually better to invest in good coax and better antennas
