From the box LOT of assorted mics.

Have two identical Mr. CB 7001 hand 9v power mics. 6 wire. Shield surrounds RED wire (on both) and it has like 12K resistance so this should be Audio.

Wiring not same however on both despite being identical in appearance. On one White is RX and the other Yellow is RX.

Cannot get any Close on PTT between any wire and shield to determine TX circuit. Maybe both mics are broke thereby one reason they may have been in this "box of mics."

So does anyone know or can locate wiring pinout on Mr CB 7001 ?

Thanks!!

Perhaps the shield is only used for audio ground and another wire is used for PTT ground. That is not uncommon at all. Have you tried testing for PTT continuity between other wires?

Okay we have this

Between shield & White - continuity, opens on PTT close

Black and Yellow does same, cont. then opens on PTT close

Black and Blue open then closes with PTT close (should be TX)

Blue and Yellow - No interaction

Red appears to be Audio

So how should this hook up to 4 pin Cobra? .... which is

1 Shield
2 Audio
3) TX
4) RX

Would it be?
1) Shield & Black ?
2) Red
3) Blue
4) White or Yellow or White and Yellow ?

Thanks for the help!!

OK, sorry for the delay but I think it should be as follows.

1-shield and black
2-audio-red
3-TX-blue
4-RX-white
the yellow wire is not used.

Wire and test at your own risk.

Thanks CK I'll give it a shot. Have two of these and they look to be in good condition so I can always sell a couple of power mics. Don't use power hand mics myself but alot of folks do.
