Like I need to start another radio........ I had a HR2510 sitting that needed a CPU board that was a working radio. I decided to take about 10 minutes and pop a good board back in the radio and use the radio for a bit today.
Nothing. I was wondering if my good board was bad so I took a board out of another radio and same thing.
The TX marker goes on and off when I key up. The radio was working but there was a problem with the CPU board. The radio had been sitting a couple months. My external bench meter shows nothing, Sometimes a few flicks of digits. The scope shows a bit of power test radio shows no RX/TX my Fluke counter with a probe hooked to the antenna inside the radio shows 30 MHz all modes, all channels. Also with the probe hooked up and acting like a antenna I do get static on the test radio.
I know there are two different frequencies that mix and make the one frequency (not explained well, loss of words) does it sound like one mixer or oscillator is not working? Also the radio was recapped a while ago so I am doubting that is the problem.
