Dear World Wide Radio Forum,
I live near the ocean in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I am also near a busy boulevard and interstate. For two weeks now, there has been terrible noise on several channels. This has been going on and off for the last five years. The noise is so bad that you cannot talk or reach anyone on your CB. It's bad to think that I have a CB that is grounded because of bad atmoshpheric problems or that someone is deliberately generating noise and interference on the channels.

Thank You,
Ronald Gordon

describe the noise. we had some issue like that here a few years back. but it was only heard on 1 channel. it ended up being someones medical equipment.

or

you could have a bad pole transformer real close to you. if its heard on all channels. i call to the power company will solve this if you talk real nice to the service and repair department.

ps: if it goes away when it rains then a pole near you has bad/old grounding issues. oh ya you might want to also check around your own house sometimes florecent lights will do that with a bad ballast.

sounds like a good ole telephone pole transformer :( bummer , here's a question for you ? When it rains , does the noise go away ?
