I was amazed at the time he must have spent just on the cleanness of his coax routing . Pretty impressive.
A clean shack is a sign of a disturbed mind. I on the other hand am not in the least bit disturbed.
One more thing,he has a wonderfull shack but the poor SOB still has next to nothing for decent antennas because of CC&R's. :headbang

Spent 10 years in the U.S. Coast Guard starting out as a Radio Operator then changing rate to that of electronics technician. Left the USCG as E6 /ET-1. Following the USCG briefly worked for the FCC at the Livermore monitoring station (Couldn't see staying with the commission for 14K a year) put twenty two years in the U.S. Merchant Marine as a ship board radio officer. Received my commission in US Naval Reserve and departed as LT Cmdr. During that time traveled to 27 countries and around the world one time completely. Spent most of that time at sea traveling to through out the Pacific rim. Loved going to sea as a radio operator and spent most of those years in the Far East, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong departing from and returning to the the West coast of the United States. Most interesting places I've seen: Israel, Egypt pyramids, the Cairo Museum was exquisite, Panama canal and Pyongyang North Korea to name only a few.
Currently working on my own as an electronics technician, servicing amateur radio equipment and consumer electronics. While serving as administrator of the Fox Tango club on line. Fox Tango International Http://www.foxtango.org
Hold whats was once a First Class telephone license(1977 Reissued as GROL.) Second Class Radiotelegraph license radar endorsed. ~CET~ Certified Electronic technician "ISCET" and two AS degrees in electronics technology. I studied Japanese on my own for many years while at sea and later formally at the UNC Charlotte NC. I still enjoy continuing education in Japanese language while reading and writing albeit at an elementary level. I also enjoy Japanese language contacts with Japanese amateurs on any band in order to keep up on my language skills.
Primary interest in amateur radio. Restoration of vintage broadcast radios and vintage Yaesu Equipment, QRP on 7.040 KHz, Using and restoring Vintage AM equipment that I activity use in the AM window of 75 meter and 40 meter phone bands. I also enjoy 10 meter and 6 meter SSB and AM. Best time I ever had on the air was working six meters from shipboard. I had to beat off the Japanese stations with a stick! Changing grid squares ever six hours or so made for some rare DX at sea. I was receiving requests for QSL cards for nearly 3 years after the last contact. Six is great if you have the patience for it!
