When my computer memory shipment arrives i am going to try webcam chat with a lady friend in South America for my first time using audio/ video or even live text chat. Anyway, being a radio geek like the rest of you here I thought it would be fun to try and get good audio from my side using Soundforge software and an old Shure mic i got at the fleamarket. It kind of looks like my trusty Shure 444D, but only has one switch on the bottom and i fear it may not be lo/hi impedance switchable.
I am going to give it a try though, I am just fishing for your experiance here...
Maybe that the on- board audio on the webcam is just great, I was thinking from the radio (modulation!) and clarity viewpoint that it would be fun to have some nice, clean audio for making the Hotmail communication clear and pleasant. the camera i will be working is a Logitek Pro 5000 .
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Yeah guys, I have lots of CB radios too, sorry if this is too off topic for any of you. I will try to get my CPI 2000, tram mobile, and Pearce Simpson stuff in the sale section soon, so forgive me my excursion into seeking good internet audio.
thanks for reading,
and thanks for any advice!
