No; this radio doesn't have the 858 PLL in it. However, doesn't mean that it won't work well. If it still works OK; that is fine. But it is on the older side of 40 ch radio. Might think about changing out the electrolytic caps and getting it fully aligned if you are going to use it as your regular radio though . . .
