I may have to add extra channels via the 8917. I purchased the frequency counter and channel kit for the uniden Madison. The frequency counter install went great and it functions flawlessly but the chance xspander/vfo type kit didn't operate properly. I've been waiting for quite some time for the gentleman I purchased it from to correct the problem. I may eventually have to modify the chip for extras. I'm not interested in adding the A channels just upper and lower. Im assuming ill nerd two swithes. Can I use the Madison's channel 9 and ANL push buttons? I don't want to drill holes. If the two push buttons can't be used and holes must be drilled than, thay must. Because of my physical limitations I need to have access to the switchs. The back of the Madison's no good for me. Thay must be on the front or on the side where, I can access them. Any and all suggestions/opinions would be greatly appreciated.
