iv done some research and cant find my part # needed if its even still available forsale by its self.

if you look at this photo:

im looking for these brackets the one on the left and the one on the right. "not the square one on top". i only have the base station bracket for my TM-D710A. i know hamcity, hro google...etc sells the whole kit but does it come with what is pictured? trying to save money sinc ei dont need the square thing in the photo nor do i need the choke or cable. Grr new radio obsolete parts pain the arse!

If im seeing the wrong part needed let me know: i found this text file with part numbers: http://kenweb1.kenwoodusa.com/Kenwo.../AMA_OtherDocuments/Panel Separation Kits.txt

but i cant find any bracket. and i use this to search the part numbers: http://www.pacparts.com/part.cfm?CF...b81a59e46-78FDFACB-A7C2-3B13-67F2F367A2A5AEED

Things like that are usually sold as a kit. I have never seen them sold as individual pieces. I would look around and ask if anyone has the entire kit that they do not need or want.

i did mention it on our local 2m net and simplex regchew spot, no one uses a newer kenwood..:( i may just end up buying the whole kit will see.... im currently in the works of having a friend who does cabinet work fab me up something for my mobile in which i may not need the kit all together. ill know by friday. and will post up pics for sure,.

What 'base station bracket' are you talking about? The bracket on the left in that picture is the standard mount for the '710's head, the 'half-moon' shaped thingy is the part that's used as a base for the mounting bracket, both fixed and mobile.
That bracket is the same one used for that whole series of radios with detachable heads, '700, '708, '71A and '710 (the TS-480 also).

here is a photo of what i have now. as you can see i dont need the piece that clicks into the head unit but rather the bracket piece its self.
the pack of smokes is to show its size. its large in a mobile setting and is currently Velcro to the dash because its too big to fit elsewhere.

I can't access that site, what did the thing cost?

Oh, one thing you might think about for the radio's main body. That's some 'feet' to keep the thing up off of the desk/table/whatever. I don't use the bracket so had to find a few to get it up enough for air to circulate.

Im going to stick with what i have. Because they want 12.00 shipping for a 13.00 part. And there here in Cali. Also what I found is solid it doesn't allow me to adjust the face up and down like what I have. So I have a new idea for the mobile install that a friend is currently making for me. The base of the radio resides bolted under a seat airflow isn't an issue.

Sent from Outerspace, on the DarkSide of X.

It's completely up to you, but I use a 3-rd party mount to my dash, and just the part that attaches to the radio. It fits my situation. I use a bracket sopplied with that mount and just bolt the Kenwood thingy to it.
