Pickup truck mounting

I tried but it’s too weak...triple mag mount instead.

I've noticed how weak and that's why I wondered. I'll add whatever I have to in the roof for a roof mount. There's got to be something up there I can work with. I'm having visions of welding.

Oh, meant to say... in my dump truck which is an 04 model with a Mercedes Benz engine, I ran 2500w in it without issue. Well, after grouding and bonding that is. Before I bonded it, I could light up every light in the entire truck. I activated my door locks like humming bird wings...for a few seconds and then they burned out. Haven’t had power door locks in years now.

It was pretty cool at the time though. I miss my door locks now though.

Waay too funny. There he goes, running thru the rain, but can’t remember what pocket and which keychain.

Well they make a hood mount for Dodge Rams. You could go with a stake pocket mount mount. If the bumper has any metal at all that will work if you have a tall enough antenna. Finaly while it is my last choice you have magnet mounts too!

I’ve had the hood mount for a dozen years. Good for last minute trip with a 5’ Wilson stashed behind seat. Just don’t expect much.

Larson Electronics makes a third brake light antenna mount. I've almost bought it 3 times but cant bring my self to clicking the button.. its 164 bucks plus 28 dollars shipping.

I was going to hard mount my Wilson 1000 on it.

I think I'm just going to make me a custom bracket to mount my 5' Skipshooter to the bed of my F150. I have a tonneau cover so I have to get creative and bend a bracket to go around it.

I believe that 3rd brake light mount is now out of production. Checked a couple of days ago.

I didn’t search in depth, but I guess you boys will, huh?

They are still in production for the F150 as far as I know. I've been looking at them since December... Typed in my credit card information twice but just cant seem to justify the 200 dolla price tag.
