After much thought (2 hours searching datasheets), I decided to accept one of the quotes from China and just get the BU2630F's.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I am looking for a PLL chip similar to the one used in the Uniden 980SSB and other newer Uniden radios. That PLL is no longer available unless ordered from China (after requesting a quote). I just want to go on digikey or mouser and buy 100 of them for future projects.
Unfortunately, the options for current PLL's are endless and I am hoping someone here knows of a good one that is similar in capabilities and function to the BU2630 the 980SSB used. Can anyone spare me from looking at datasheets all day and point me toward something that works the same way? I don't care about pinout or power consumption, mainly just the large divider range and simplicity of serial programming. I don't want one with built in ram/micro, don't need anything complicated.
In THIS POST I made in an earlier thread, I talk about the serial data that controls the BU2630F and showed how it works on the 'scope.
With the 14 bit reference divider and a 16 bit program divider, if the reference oscillator is 5.12MHz, it would allow 500Hz, 1kHz, 5kHz and 10kHz steps and the VCO can be directly synthesizing the output on 11m. Very versatile.
I've received a few quotes on these 2630's, but they are discontinued and all ship from overseas and I am hoping to avoid that. I want something that works the same way that is currently available. Hoping someone here has tinkered with PLLs enough to know what's out there.
Thanks!
