I never cease to be amazed at the number of radios I see for sale anywhere that are missing parts. Now we all hate clutter don't we guys  and I can forgive someone chunking the box on a radio they buy new and intend to keep for a long time.

But not keeping the hand mic, mounting bracket & screws (mobiles) and/or selling a rig without even a power cord....I'm just curious as to what are some of the things that happen.

This only applies to folks that get a radio complete, either new or used...and then sell it later incomplete.

Where your stuff go good buddy?

They are usually the first thing to go since so many of them are lousy sounding. I keep a couple Kenwood mics lying around though as they really do sound decent.

They make a great cat toy - if you drag them fast enough...
The last three Cobra mics that I opened up and looked at had condenser elements in them. Now, WHY didn't they complete the job and add a decent preamp to it and make it sound decent?

My Magnum OmegaForce came with a mic that has the very SAME element in it as the Cobra does - but with a decent mic preamp as the difference. That is the BEST stock mic I got with ANY radio that I have ever purchased. I consider it one of my very favorite mics to this day - no joke. I thought it was very lame when I first got the radio, until I opened it up and turned up the little pot inside to full blast. Put it back together and got GREAT reports with it. Additionally, when I turn up the talkback on the radio using that mic, it has a far better gain/feedback than my D104/Black Eagle. The sound that I heard coming thru the talkback was sublime...

Sounds outstanding, RF Limited definitely has their stuff together - IMO...
