If the band is open, you'll hear signals everywhere. There is no particular frequency that's more likely than another to have something going on.

If you suspect it's open, listen.

there are signals on 24.930 24/7,..... if ya can hear them is the real question

24.950 is about in the middle and is where I hear the most activity.

Last few times I tuned up the random wire on 12 meters, and spun the VFO I didn't hear anything but low level static.....

17 meters is the highest band that I've made a contact on, and that was about a month ago during one of those weekend contests.....

Have yet to do anything on 15, 12, or 10 meters since getting this TS-130S back in January.....
