PowerMax 100amp Adjustable Powers Supplies on Sale

Okay, the PM3 100A arrived today safely. Little skeered was not doubled boxed but came UPS and and it looked fine. Factory Set to Fixed Output. Adjusted for 14.4V and away she goes. Is silent with no humming. Using to power a recently acquired like new 2 year old Texas Star 500V with the gold label HG pills. The TS has had the internal beefed-up wiring mod and 6g output wires. Previously tried a Megawatt 50A which proved inadequate .... the lights would dim when modulating. Zero light dimming on the PM3. Love the large 4G capable terminals. Only cheap-out is the NO power switch .... so using a switched power strip.

Yeah…no power switch. They’re made to plug into a switched circuit in an RV - originally. Power strip is the way to go. With their shipping box, I’m surprised they don’t get more damaged items.

When the fan turns on, which isn’t often, you’ll hear it. They’re designed to go into tight areas with little ventilation so they’re made with sizable heat sinks. Nothing wrong with placing a 5 watt wire wound 25-50 ohm resistor inline with the fan or even a high low switch. It won’t interfere with the thermostat.

Thanks for the update.
