Finally got my Predator 10K on my truck. The antenna I removed was a wilson 2000 and was a older antenna. I am thinking Pre Barjan. The wilson had a 1.5 match. The predator is right at 1.4 on channel 1 and 1.5 on channel 40. I am thinking with a ground strap and a little more trimming it may do better. I did notice the match was always a hair better when the antenna was slid all the way down and bottomed out. That is not right but that was my findings. It was very hot Thursday when I installed this and humidity was way up there so more tweaking to the match will be done.

The short of it is after using this for 11 Hrs. the people I normally run with and myself really notice no improvement over the Wilson 2000. Possibly but can't swear by this at first I noticed less traffic light interference and flashing caution light interference. As the day went on I started thinking it may have been my imagination. Oh yes the radio I was using was a Stryker 440.

So good antenna. A bit big and comical looking on the truck. I definitely would not discourage anyone from buying one. I got a couple comments like nice TV antenna you have on your truck LOL.

what is the Predator 10k considered, 1/4 wave or what?

really I don't have a clue how these antennas are rated. I get why a 102" is a 1/4 wave but a wilson silverload or firestick 5/8 wave and a skip shooter 3/4 wave.

Coily is I believe 3/8 wave. sacred to guess on the Predator.
Suppose I could start a new thread on this. Possibly another can of worms like coax lengths(n)

Not to beat a dead horse BUT, has anyone any idea on how the wave claims made?
With the glass antennas I originally assumed that was how many feet of wire was wound into them. Not sure about that now.
