President Bill FCC

Has anybody found a schematic or service manual for this radio? I thought it would be amusing to see what sort of improvements could be made to this thing.
Not much in one of these no adjustments of any kind all work would be at the component level. I suppose there could be limitations that could be removed or modified with other values but it's all SMT. That being said I'm may purchase one and get the audio up a little and put it in my new F150 as there is little room for much else.

Mike's radio repair did a pretty good dissect ands review on that little rig. Not for me but it's a cool anytone built rig. Like above mentioned, there's not much for any enhancements unless you start changing out smt component values going just off that video.

the only thing I could find on this radio is the owners manual and it shows all the channels you can get. the manual is in a few different languages and it is in english starting on about page 36 if this will help you any. no schematic with the manual. looks like it can get a lot of extra channels just looking at the manual.

The President Bill FCC (AM) and President Bill ASC (AM/FM)
are two different models, I don't know how much actually differs between the two, but yeah I figure I'd add this to the thread.

As far as I know, the schematic and or factory service manual have not been released.
I haven't looked for the manual, maybe it is floating around & I don't know..

They can't help themselves.....:)

I have the diagrams.... And no you can't turn the Bill FCC into the European model very easily.
They didn't stuff half the parts required nor does it have the same software.
If anything the US model is severely gimped.

You would need to obtain the parts, stuff the board with those parts for starters then flash the MCU with the same software the EU version has.

That might not be as hard as it seems because they used one of those MCUs that looks like a copy of an STM32 with an M3 core.
(I wonder what ARM has to say about these unlicensed clones)
Your chances are actually better than average that you can pull the EU firmware off a radio and flash it to the US model.

I grabbed their GD-Link (which is suspiciously close to ST-Link.. HMMM....) and.. it sort of sees my ST-Link... so.... yeah..... clones of STM32s.

Thanks to Chinese MCU clones your chances are better than average! :)
If you want to do all of that work. Buy the EU version. It's a better radio IMHO, after looking at the diagrams.
