Hi, Does anyone know if this radio has same recieve as the Grant XL radios?
How would it compare and can it be modded to 11 meter?

No, its receive is closer to the typical Galaxy/Connex receivers of today. Normally they were already set up for regular 40, plus 1 upper and 1 lower band, plus of course the SSB and FM capability.
