President HR2510 No Modulation

I just picked up this radio today.
It had no TX and I replaced C60 and that got it to transmit.
Now I notice it has no modulation on AM and just a whisper on SSB that I can hear on my other radio.
It puts out 10W+ on AM and I can hear the beep but no audio through the mic.
The mic does work though.

Anyone know what this could be?

I guess the first thing to do is order up a cap kit

I found the culprit....
The mic element is shot.

Not sure what they got going on there, I counted 3 strands of wire, 1 hanging out by itself.
Time to find a new mike element or another microphone.

Now I can finally go to bed...7:05 AM

Heil HC-4 works real nice on that radio. Check Ebay and QTH.com.
