I recently got a president jackson radio for free. I get it home, hook it all up and I get some weird feedback through the speaker.
After some messing around, I get the feedback to disappear and I notice the talkback is working ok. It modulated from a dead key of about 3 watts up to about 20 watts.
After some time, however, the feedback started again. I also noticed the radio wasn't modulating at this time. I figured it might be the mic (an old astatic) and checked the wiring. Everything looked to be correct. I opened up the radio and didn't notice anything unusual. So I called the guy and he said he had the same problem after someone had removed an echo board from the radio.
Now I"m lost as to how to fix this radio. I hear that the president jackson is a decent radio and I would like to get it up and running smoothly. Anyone got any ideas, they would much appreciated.
