The Lincoln is a 10 (11) meter radio built on the HR 2510 chassis, this radio was designed 20+ years ago, and except for a very few minor changes, it is basically the same. The Final has gone from a MRF 477, to a MRF 497, and now A MRF 455.
Of course this says something about the radio, that it has survived production this long, is still well liked and sells well, even when they are hard to come by.
The RCI 2950 DX is a 10 (11) 12 meter radio that uses a SMT board, and newer technology than the old Lincoln.
Myself, I like old school, I have a HR2510, a HR 2600, and a LINCOLN.......and only one RCI 2950DX. 8)
Both are good radios, but I think the RX is better on the Uniden chassis.
And even it has room for improvment.
The TX on the RCI has more punch in AM mode than the stock Lincoln, but this can also be improved.
I also like the smaller footprint of the Lincoln, and the front mount mic jack.
Down side, no vari on Mic gain, two stage gain, only a attenuator for the mic level, and if you are using it on 11 meters( cough cough ) the channel buttons zero the frequency unless you are in G band, and that is only the 40 channels.
the ChipSwitch takes care of all of this, If it bothers the operator a lot
Just my thoughts...
