Hi folks, A friend of mine just lost his Lincoln in his truck to a lightning strike last Saturday.
The radio still powers up, but, theres no frequency displayed, and the meter stays fully pegged. No X-mit/Rx either....
Question is, is this worth fixing or just using it for parts only?
The radio, and antenna(4 waymag mount) weren't really grounded properly.....
I'm thinking the radio is toast. We haven't opened it up to look yet. The Coax and antenna are un damaged, so, it probably wasn't a direct hit,but close enough to do enough damage...
Any ideas and help would be appreciated. Thanks.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=""> .
