How about Only Posts for items (YOU) have for sale yourself or a local friend without internet access. No more "hey I saw this on Craigslist and thought you might like it" stuff. No Links that take you away from this site to see an ad somewhere else - that will have no accountability to this place.

Would this also eliminate the sale threads where there is nothing actually offered for sale, and it's just a teaser for posting something at a later time?

How about a separate section for "third-party" stuff for sale, found on fleabay or wherever.

Seems better than banning that kind of post from the swap shop. I would favor a "has to actually be for sale" Swap Shop rule.
