Hi - Has anybody used one of these units ? I'm asking because I'm having a strange problem using mine with sideband...

In the Mode Alter selection, what does LDIG mean or stand for ? It works for me with sideband listening only ! And for some reason now, I can't just use LSB or USB in unison to perform both TX & RX functions, so I have to switch back & forth between LSB or USB for TX and must use the "LDIG" for listening or RX ! Not seeing much about this online nor can one contact the developer or company behind this, I'd like to get to the bottom of this to be able to use LSB or USB for both TX and RX ! ANYONE have this same experience or can help me please ???

Magnuman, I just checked this on 28.5350 and it's doing it there as well. I'm pretty sure the split function isn't engaged but I will recheck in a bit.

I don't know if this could be a software glitch or for that matter just a software glitch on mine?

I need to update to ver. 1.13 asap and that is the plan. Sitting on ver. 1.00 now.

This is very annoying though and it must be a rare thing, not many comments are coming back at me, almost like I'm invisible LOL. As I have posted this in a KN-990 group owners on Facebook as well, having only 1 comment so far pfffft !

Alright well time will tell but yeah a quite nice little QRP unit, Retro

UPDATE:

So I personally figured out what the issue was and now my LSB and USB works perfectly in unison together with transmit and receive...
Somehow my LSB and USB bandwidth was way off, as in set to zero which basically means the receive function not work LOL. Since I noticed the L or Udig mode I was using a bandwidth of 2700 and also a shift of 300, I decided to set the other ones same way, meaning USB and LSB and BAM I got my receive back and everything works as it should... so I'm very happy with this and wanted to share in case somebody ever has this happen but I'm really surprised no one could give me a direction on how to fix this LOL. At the very top the BW is short for bandwidth should read 2700 or thereabouts when using SSB modes folks... adding pic...

Good work in sorting that out.
How on earth did it leave the factory like that?
Some of them have a factory reset that should put all the parameters back to original spec. There may be some other values that need adjusting.
On the plus side it is nice to be able to tailor the sideband pass band width to suit conditions and your ears.

Does that radio come open/unlocked/Mars/cap modified from the factory, or did you have to do something to it?
did you fine out on any MODS for this radio i would like to transmit on 630 meter band.let me know tnx dennis
