What is everyone thats doing qrp, or at least under 20w, using these days?

I like the Icom IC-705 but the new coming Yaesu FTX-1F looks real nice too.

Icom 705 and an old CB I converted to 10m many years ago.

Probably not true QRPing, but every now and again I'll turn the 710 down to 5w and return a CQ coming from Europe. Have worked half a dozen or so stations doing that when the band is wide open. Fun stuff.

QRP portable operation (5 watts or less) is life here! For whatever reason, small low power portable radios have always been addictive for me. Nothing beats making contacts with battery power, a piece of wire or a telescopic whip

My Dragon SS-201 gets the most use of them all, for no other reason than I find it great fun working 10m/11m DX on a AA batteries and a whip. I am looking forward to seeing new generations of 10m SSB handhelds in the near-ish future.

What is everyone thats doing qrp, or at least under 20w, using these days?

I have Yaesu FT-817, Heathkit HW-7, Magnum 1012, Mizuho MX-28S. I get the biggest kick from the Mizuho. The Heathkit sucks, so does the Magnum 1012. The 817 also generates a bit of fun, event though I despise it. It works really well, but I hate the user interface.

Probably not true QRPing, but every now and again I'll turn the 710 down to 5w and return a CQ coming from Europe.

I had a 705 but wanted to have more power than 10w max sometimes. Thought about getting a Hard Rock 50w amp but I thought the price was too high. Sold the 705 and used that money to buy the FT-710 and a 20Ah LifePO4 battery . I use the 710 for portable ops (POTA).
