Anyone use a quad and the results?, I looked at a few out of my pocket change budget

doctor

I have a Cubex Quad 2 Element Antenna
to compliment my I 10K from Jay.

Very happy with both of them, since I believe both
to be of top quality.

If I was to do it again I would probley go with a 4
element...

I had mine tweaked a little :)

Tweaked, how?
Copper-Weld Wire cut a little longer than center of CB band.

Really not much worth mention, except I work a lot of AM
on the lower side and tuner seems to handle the high side
when and if needed a bit better.

I have not seen over 1.5 SWR from 26.400 thru 27.800
without ever using tuner.

John

my my how times have changed
I had no idea I was using a ugly

I might as well get it right then  "Transmatch"
not tuner

Kewl,

I've read where some use the weld wire. How much higher did you put the I10K above the quad?

Least no one think otherwise, they are mounted on seperate
poles and the I 10K is at 42 ft.base and the Quad is at 36 foot
to boom center.

It should be a bit higher by about 9 ft. so the feed point
would be at 36 ft. I believe.

Diamond shape, feed at bottom for flatside polarity.
