pehaps the txt file is saved in "asci" ?
When I save the text for the first time by using the wordpad
I can save it as a .txt document and select : ansi as "code"
Thats default for me, but perhaps it is with you ?

Not sure if that solves it, i dont have much knowledge of computers

ps the source etc isnt copied using this methode.
