Ive been asked from people questions about my birds seeings how when people call they see what happens when Im on the telephone and my birds see me LOL!! This is a video I took of JJ (Jumping Jack) one of our birds thid video was taken lastyear about this time JJ was a Catalina Macaw and was 26 years old they usually live to between 80 and 100 years.

unfortunately JJ got sick lastweek it happened out of nowhere as it sometimes happens to people old and young. I was out of town and my wife had called me upset and was crying telling me that JJ was pretty sick so I came home and did what I could throughout the night JJ was to go to the Vet bird specialist last Friday morning but passed away at 3:30AM

This was my Daughter Marissa's (KC9OOA) bird and bestfriend he was a huge part of the family as he was more of a human kid than a bird he like my Afircan Greys are absolutely infatuated with my amateur radio and the 2 meter pl tones are their specialty ;) we love and miss him and my daughter has now lost 2 bestfriends this past year R.I.P. JJ we love and miss you.

If birds have souls may his find eternal peace and comfort in bird heaven and the children enjoy JJ's fondest memories.

Ya know Mack I have other birds and love them aswell but they are just like people they all have indavidual personalities its really weird and crazy. It seems strange in the house and missing something but as my kids are learning death is all a part of life rather we agree or not its going to happen and we have to keep moving forward as hard as it may be to do at times.

Whats really crazy is the other birds were acting funny and stressed out over this because they also notice something different and JJ would walk around the house and visit and talk to every bird a a daily basis it was a hoot to watch. The birds are getting back to their normal selves and as I told the family we have to aswell and the other birds still need the same love we gave them and JJ before.

I had to laugh yesterday because if you remember my daughters best friend Kristin had died in a horrible car wreck this past fall and she was hilarious to watch because JJ would drive her insane with messing with her and chasing her around the house so I said I wonder what she did up there in heaven when she heard HEY!! CMERE!! and she seen JJ sittin on the pearly gates Friday mornin!! We all figured the poor girl is still running to this day LOL!!

Sorry for your loss bro. I have a couple really great small dogs that I would be lost without so, I feel for you and your family. I'm sure J.J. enriched your lives and will always be in your hearts and thoughts.

the loss of a pet is definitely difficult...may you find the strength to help your family deal with this event.
