I enjoy collecting old dead radios. Over the years I have started collecting Yaesu stuff. All were DOA and was enjoyable to repair. That is the fun part.
I also collect older cb radios. I still have my first store bought cb radio. A Midland 13-898b. And works to this day. Also an old Courier Gladiator 23 channel mobile. Crystal controlled. Not PLL.

I am thinking now of looking for some old Heath kit stuff. DOA of course. I own a few pieces of heath kit test equipment but no radios. Once years ago before I even had a Ham ticket I had an old HW 101. The rig did not work and I ended up giving it to a fellow. Sure wish I still had it.

Time to go hunting and see what lies in folks closets.

Found one guy that had a Yaesu 101EE. But it is in Bad shape. Rusty, parts missing, ect. Think I will leave that on alone.
Picked up a receiver this week end.
AB Standard Radio Fabrik.
Made in Sweden.
Never heard of this one. But it is all together.

Thinking of putting my TS-520 up for sale.
Then buy a nice 101

Yeah that's a great activity and hobby....shucks even business. A good tech who can work on a wide variety of equipment can make some moola....open up a shop n' stuff.

And there is always a big load of broken rigs on ebay for usually pretty cheap. Great opportunity. Wish I could do that.

Good luck!
