I have a Kenwood TS-2000 that I found does not transmit above 444.995. It's as if the manufacturer put a "lock" on that channel.

My Yaesu FT-7900 does transmit above 444.995....in fact our local ham club has a simplex net at 446.000.

To join the net I have to get in my personal vehicle, instead of just using the home base.

How can I set my TS-2000 so i can sit in my house and join the 446 mHz net?

Thanks

Is the radio used ?

Sent from my SCH-i605 on Verizon 4G LTE.

Okay apparently your radio has the MARS mod which means.you cannot transmit there.

Turn off the repeater offset. With the offset enabled you are trying to tx 5 MHz higher which would put you out of band.

That's the other option lol.
I was told that the Mars mod will disable transmit above 444mhz
